Segment Feedback — Matthew McIlhenny — Segment Movement Transitions
Section titled “Segment Feedback — Matthew McIlhenny — Segment Movement Transitions”Most interesting
Section titled “Most interesting”The transit section. I’m going to have to go back and watch it again, but most interesting was basically how a transit involves so many other foci (depending on the particular transition) and how that movement will be mediated by intensity modification concepts like effort, safety, etc.
Unusual or difficult
Section titled “Unusual or difficult”The equate section was a little complex. I’m wondering if another example could have helped to illustrate it. Maybe because the movement with the arms locking behind the back has always been challenging for me.
Movement habits
Section titled “Movement habits”Just the particular step back movement of the foot I realized I probably hadn’t been doing that correctly so now I am something to work on during a movement that I previously hadn’t given much thought to.
Could be better
Section titled “Could be better”See above, description of the equate segment. My understanding is the forces are equating like when hands go together, but then the applied practice is a movement where maybe many people can’t even reach there hands. So quite complex, maybe better to do the applied practice with an easier movement.
