Curated registry of community interactions that received editorial treatment (context, principles applied, follow-up actions). These entries supplement the auto-synced corpus in topics/, community-posts/, forums/, groups/, and activity/.

Note (2026-04-14): direct messages are no longer a sub-folder of this area. They live at 02-areas/practice-platform/direct-messages/ as a sibling of community-forums-groups/, because DMs from the platform messaging system aren’t community content — they’re the full admin inbox. DM entries in the registry below now wikilink across folder boundaries; Obsidian’s shortest-path resolution still finds them by filename.

Editorial content lives in each file under the ## Editorial Notes section, which the forum sync script preserves across regenerations.

Conventions

Community / forum / group content — this folder (02-areas/practice-platform/community-forums-groups/):

  • topics/ — auto-synced forum topics from BuddyBoss (YYYY-MM-DD-short-slug.md). Files are keyed by topic-id in frontmatter.
  • community-posts/ — hand-curated group-feed responses and notes that don’t have a synced counterpart.
  • forums/, groups/, primer-community/ — auto-synced forum and group metadata plus hand-curated sidecars.
  • activity/ — monthly auto-generated activity digests (cutoff: 2025-08-01 — older content was from a deprecated social feed).

Direct messages — sibling folder (02-areas/practice-platform/direct-messages/):

  • direct-messages/ — auto-synced admin DM threads and hand-curated standalone editorial DM records (YYYY-MM-DD-firstname-descriptive-slug.md). Files with a thread-id field are sync-managed; files without are hand-curated. See [Direct Messages](/areas/practice-platform/direct-messages/direct-messages/) MOC for details.

Editorial Notes section

Section titled “Editorial Notes section”

Files that receive editorial treatment have an ## Editorial Notes section at the end. This section is preserved across sync regenerations by scripts/forum-content-sync.py (preserve_editorial_notes helper). The section typically includes:

  • Editorial metadata (title override, cohort, topic-type, sensitivity, language, participant, tags)
  • Context (non-public background)
  • Key principles applied
  • Follow-up actions
  • Editorial links

Frontmatter fields (title, tags, dates, reply-count, etc.) are sync-managed and will be overwritten on regeneration.
