Studio 2 | 9:10-10:50 AM (~100 min) Assignment: Segment 3, Lessons 3.9-3.14 (~43 min)

Segment 3 gives the overview of the foci system. The group now has the conceptual map of all foci — but only a subset have been covered practically so far, and the system continues to develop in later Primer segments. Today isn’t about “completing” foci. It’s about adding practical experience inside what’s been introduced, and moving at a slightly faster pace now that the basic vocabulary is in place.

Q&A + closing10BothQuestions, assignment, forum nudge

Whoever isn’t leading assists.

  • Front (High) Lunge Torsion — builds on last week’s Lunge Extension
  • V-Sit — Converge pair with Peak Hold; closes the S2 loop
  • Square Cross Inflection — in the assignment; primary anchor
  • Seated Wide Inflection — in the assignment
  • Seated Inflection — in the assignment

Held back (Session 4 or later): Wide Squat, Suspended Star Inflection.

  • Navel-to-spine deconditioning check — continue during Star Form and seated/floor work
  • Smart Revisit reinforcement — likely to come up again (Marta’s PrimerPrint thread)
  • Breath as intensity indicator (“if you can’t carry on a conversation, lower the arms”)
  • Moderation on Peak Hold — ask if anyone felt the delayed onset at home
  • Foci named so far: Converge, Ascend. Today touches Inflect practically (Square Cross) without requiring a full concept block — name it in passing

  • Co-teaching: neutral cueing when redirecting mid-form. If the trajectory needs to shift, add a cue rather than a meta-comment.
  • James’s shoulder — Observe + Verbal Assist where warranted, particularly during Peak Hold and Square Cross Inflection exit.

  • Open floor — questions from today and from the Segment 3 assignment
  • Expected carry-forward threads: sensation/phenomenology (Natalie, Noémie), facial tension (Caitlin), revisit ratio
  • Forum nudge: “Post it to the forum — better answer there than in the moment”
  • Assignment 4: Segment 4, opening lessons (confirm exact range before session close)

  • Cut Seated Inflection — Seated Wide covers the Inflect focus for seated work; legs-together can land in S4
  • Cut Front Lunge Torsion — natural S4 addition off last week’s Extension
  • Do not cut Square Cross Inflection, Seated Wide Inflection, or Assimilation
  • Keep review blocks tight — the group has the concepts now; don’t re-teach

  • Add Suspended Star Inflection — first floor-less Inflect form, pairs well with Square Cross
  • Extend Q&A rather than adding forms
