Curriculum
Section titled “Curriculum”Programs Hub page
Section titled “Programs Hub page”Ideas below drafted by Asia - to be confirmed with Patrick / discussed with Patrick’s Claude
In relation to seo-architecture-session-2026-02-24 strategy
We need to update our baseworks.com/programs page. (current copy is available on the page)
It should act as an overview of our ongoing programs. With links to archives as well. Maybe we can somehow highlight more prominent past events. And link to event archieve filtering by event category.
We should probably have a variation of the intake form on this page as well. ( can be done in steps; doesn’t need to be there for the first iteration) similar to the one we developed for the Practice Sessions - discussed here practice-sessions-montreal-2026-page-draft-and-form-discussion .
Session notes — 2026-02-28 (Patrick + Claude Code)
Section titled “Session notes — 2026-02-28 (Patrick + Claude Code)”Status: Mockup complete. Ready for Ksenia to pick up — see handoff notes below.
Mockup file: baseworks-changelog/sites/baseworks.com/mockups/programs-hub.html
(Same design system as SMSG Spring 2026 and Practice Sessions mockups. Uses baseworks-tokens.css. Committed to GitHub: p-oancia/baseworks-changelog.)
Page structure (7 sections):
- Hero (dark) — hub identity, meta strip, CTAs: “Current Programs” + “Not sure where to start?” (→ #start)
- The Approach (light) — accessible version: what Baseworks is, cross-domain transfer as observation
- Currently Running (light-muted) — 2 cards: Spring Study Group + Practice Sessions
- How We Teach (dark) — 6 format cards with photo placeholders
- Online Learning (light) — Primer + Practice Platform (gated access noted explicitly)
- Past Programs (light-muted) — 3 real past events (Tokyo June 2025, New York Sept 2025, London Oct 2025) + archive browse links: Study Groups / Study Labs / Virtual Sessions / Full Archive (using
?__event_type=facet URLs) - Where to Start + Intake Form (dark) — 3 information-only cards (no links), then intake form below with “Tell us about your practice” heading +
[bw_practice_quiz]shortcode placeholder. Cards describe paths; form does the routing.
Copy decisions (from this session):
- No negative framing anywhere (“not a class”, “not a fitness program” etc. all removed)
- No metaphors, no sales language, no exclamation marks
- “Physical Intelligence” is b-roll — used sparingly, never in headings
- Practice Platform copy explicitly notes gated access (through program completion, not open enrollment)
- Study Groups described generically: “multiple sessions over several weeks” (not tied to specific count)
- Study Labs: “consecutive days (weekend or week-long)” with Primer pre-study and online cohort interaction
- Cross-domain transfer framed as observation: “practitioners often notice…” — not a promise
- Two-version copy principle: accessible version used on landing page; formal version lives in voice guides for proposals/research
Voice guide system created (this session): All files at Voice Guides — see CLAUDE-SETUP-GUIDE for full documentation. Includes unified guide, Patrick’s personal guide, Ksenia’s guide (draft v0.1 pending her review), governance process, and setup instructions for Ksenia’s machine.
Design decisions:
- Photo placeholders in format cards (Section 4) and routing cards (Section 7) and archive cards (Section 6)
- All photo placeholders use consistent inner-padding style (not bleed)
- Archive browse links use
?__event_type=facet format - Intake form is its own section at page bottom — universal router, links from hero and Where to Start section
- Page uses real Kadence header/footer when deployed (no custom nav)
Handoff for Ksenia
Section titled “Handoff for Ksenia”To render the mockup locally:
cd ~/Documents/baseworks-changelog && git pull- Open
sites/baseworks.com/mockups/programs-hub.htmlin a browser
To deploy as a placeholder on baseworks.com:
- Convert the mockup to a WordPress page template (PHP file)
- Use
get_header()/get_footer()— the mockup’s nav and footer are for local preview only; the live page uses the real Kadence header/footer - Strip the mockup banner, nav, and footer sections; keep Sections 1–8
- Upload the PHP template file via SSH to the Kadence child theme folder
- In WP Admin → Programs page (ID 28338) → Page Attributes → Template → select the new template
- To revert: change the template dropdown back to Default and rebuild in Elementor
What needs to be provided before deployment:
- Real photo URLs for: 6 format cards, 3 archive event cards, 3 Where to Start cards
- Confirm all internal links (most should be correct already)
- Confirm intake form shortcode
[bw_practice_quiz]renders correctly on this page (currently deployed on Practice Sessions page)
Voice guide setup for Ksenia:
Read CLAUDE-SETUP-GUIDE — full step-by-step instructions for setting up Claude Code with the voice guides on her machine, including reviewing and confirming VOICE-GUIDE-KSENIA-ASIA.md.
