The goal is isolating hip movements with a fixed pelvis position.
Example 1: From a supine position, bring one leg up (above the pelvis) and then abduct it, lowering the leg closer to the floor — without moving the pelvis.
Example 2: From a standing position, shift weight onto one foot and lift the opposite foot off the floor, while keeping the pelvis parallel to the floor.
