Most interesting
Section titled “Most interesting”What interested me the most in this Assimilation segment was noticing the difference that the Ignition and Assimilation practices created before and after the Complete session. Beginning with the ignition helped me feel more present, organized and connected before entering movement, while the assimilation practice at the end created a deeper sense of integration and calm within the body afterward. I found it interesting how the structure of the practice influenced not only physical performance, but also attention, breathing and nervous system state throughout the session.
Unusual or difficult
Section titled “Unusual or difficult”What felt unusual at first was the level of subtlety involved in the Assimilation work. Compared to more dynamic forms of training, it required a different type of attention and patience. It was sometimes difficult to know if I was “doing enough,” especially during slower or more minimal phases of the practice. I also noticed how challenging it can be to maintain relaxed breathing and unnecessary tension awareness while focusing on posture and precision simultaneously.
Movement habits
Section titled “Movement habits”I’ve become increasingly aware of how often I use excess tension to create stability or control, especially through my shoulders, jaw and hips. These practices helped me notice moments where I could soften unnecessary effort while still maintaining structure and presence. I also experienced a stronger sense of grounding and internal organization after the Complete session compared to the Open session. There’s a growing connection between breath, attention and movement quality that feels more embodied and sustainable over time.
