Planning and tracking for all newsletter issues. Each newsletter is a container that assembles sections from multiple campaigns.
How Newsletters Work
Section titled “How Newsletters Work”- One directory per newsletter issue, named
YYYY-MM-newsletter/ - One note per issue inside that directory, same name as the directory
- Assets subdirectory for the compiled HTML and any issue-level graphics — named
YYYY-MM-newsletter-assets/ - Each section in the newsletter links back to the campaign note it draws from
- Campaign notes contain the section copy; the newsletter note handles assembly, ordering, and send logistics
Newsletter Note Structure
Section titled “Newsletter Note Structure”Each newsletter issue note contains:
- Frontmatter with type, status, send date, audience, subject line, and campaigns featured
- Section plan — which campaigns appear, in what order, with links to each campaign note
- Assembly notes — subject line options, header/footer content, any issue-level copy (intro, sign-off)
- Send logistics — audience segment, scheduled send date/time, A/B test notes if any
