Working with overall body flexion, as well as strengthening a “hollow body” pattern. Antithetical to the concept of “core strength” — the goal is to use DA while thinking of the front of the body as one continuous muscular sheath.
Note: Despite being explicitly antithetical to fitness concepts, CONVERGE (along with EXPAND) is probably the closest to common exercise and fitness views of physical training, because it addresses physical prerequisites and structural limitations more directly. Some forms carry both CONVERGE and EXPAND foci.
