Waiver Sections

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in any Baseworks Method in-person educational offering involve physical movement and exercise activities that carry inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, fractures, and other bodily injuries, some of which may be serious or permanent. I voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these risks.

Medical Conditions

I affirm that I am in good physical condition and have no medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations that would prevent safe participation in this event. If I have any medical condition that could be aggravated by physical activity, I assume full responsibility for any consequences resulting from my participation. I have consulted with a medical professional if I have any concerns about my ability to safely participate.

Personal Responsibility

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for monitoring my physical condition during the event. In the event of pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any unusual physical symptoms, I will immediately inform the facilitators, modify my participation, or stop entirely as needed.

Media Release

I grant Baseworks the perpetual, irrevocable, and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute photographs, video recordings, or other media in which I appear, for any lawful purpose including but not limited to promotional materials, advertising, educational content, social media, print, broadcast, and online publications. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials and any claims for compensation related to the use of such media. (If I do not wish to appear physically recognizable in any media, I will inform the facilitators and photographers/videographers before any photographing/filming begins)

Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Baseworks International, 9472-4374 Quebec Inc, their instructors, facilitators, staff, representatives, and the venue(s) from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me during participation in this event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Three-Step Consent Process

This waiver is the second of three steps in our media consent process:

1. At registration — Terms of Service acceptance (includes participation waiver with media release), linked beneath the purchase button at checkout
2. Before the first session — This standalone participation waiver (this document)
3. On site — Verbal check whenever a photographer or videographer is present for focused photography or video, asking if anyone does not wish to be physically recognizable

All three steps include an explicit opt-out mechanism. The responsibility to inform facilitators and photographers rests with the participant, and must be communicated before filming begins.
