Thank you for your additional comments in your segment feedback.
You’re right that the first two sessions are compressed—they fall close together due to our own scheduling constraints, which isn’t representative of the rest of the program. From Session 3 onward, all sessions are on Saturdays or Sundays, and assignments are comfortably under an hour spread across a full week—usually manageable in 6-15 minutes a day, even with a heavy workload.
If at all possible, I’d encourage you to try to get the second and third assignments, because the pacing smooths out after that.
**Note: **The structure is designed to bake in reflective insights that carry over into both the Study Group in-person sessions, other practices, and abstract thinking, including coding IMO.
Your comments about your shoulders are also interesting—if you have a moment after Tuesday’s session to share more, we’d be happy to help.
If you have any other questions or want recommendations on how to better navigate the content, please don’t hesitate to reach out (direct of via the forum).
See you tomorrow.
Patrick

Section titled “Dawson — 2026-02-10 22:26”Hey Patrick,
Wanted to write to let you know why I suddenly disappeared. I was experimenting with a way of working throughout January, and well, the experiment taught me a lot about how to land in burnout. Oops, but also great information for the future. At the moment I’m cutting anything I can from my schedule to try to rest and recuperate and unfortunately Baseworks didn’t land in the rest category.
I’m still highly curious about the program and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the online material and hope to go through that sometime in the future once my system can handle it.
Sorry for the sudden disappearance, I was hoping it’d only be a missed session or two but I’m seeing now that a full reset is necessary.
Hope to see you around!

Section titled “Patrick (admin) — 2026-02-10 23:52”Hey Dawson,
Thanks so much for the message — I completely understand how demanding work and study can be.
You’re still very welcome to join any of the upcoming sessions. If you can’t make those, there will be other opportunities down the line, including joining a future cohort at a reduced rate or joining individual sessions.
You still have three months to complete the online material, and you’re welcome to review the summaries as well. If you finish the online material within that three-month window, your access automatically extends to a full year. This can then act as a complementary resource alongside any future in-person or live sessions.
If you stay subscribed to the newsletter, you’ll hear about everything coming up. And since you’re part of this cohort, we’ll also continue to communicate directly with the group about future activities. Even getting up to speed on the theory alone will be a big help if and when you decide to join us in person — whether that’s for the final sessions or something further down the line.
Feel free to ping me anytime with any questions you have about anything. And we’ll look forward to seeing you when we see you!

Hi everyone,
The access codes for Espace Saint-André changed this morning (February 19th):
- Exterior door: 5 - 3 - 1
- Studios: 2 - 4 - 5
Please make sure to note these down so you can get in without any problems on Sunday! ****
Quick follow-up on interview invitations:
Earlier this week, we sent an email asking if you’d be willing to share your experience with Baseworks on camera—short conversational interviews (5-10 minutes) that help us get feedback and give future students insight into what the program is about.
If you saw that email and haven’t had a chance to respond, a quick yes or no would be really helpful as we’re coordinating the shooting schedule with people who’ve already expressed interest. The available times are:
- February 22nd: 12:00-2:00pm (before our session)
- March 1st: 3:30-5:00pm (after our session) Interviews can be in English or French. If you’re still thinking about it or have questions, please feel free to reply to this message or the original email, or come talk to us about it in person on Sunday. We should still be able to make space for March 1.
Looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday.
