  • Created 02-areas/communications/press-page/
  • Filed the full press page brief (versioned spec, frontmatter intact) at press-page-brief
  • Created decisions-worksheet extracting D1–D10 with recommendation, source reference, and empty Resolution/Date fields for Patrick + Asia to fill in
  • Created README with folder orientation and wikilinks

2. B2 archival storage location added to spec

Section titled “2. B2 archival storage location added to spec”
  • Section 9.5 added to press-page-brief: press article PDFs go to B2 press/articles/ (archival, not CDN-served); screenshots extracted from PDFs go through the compress-photos pipeline to media.baseworks.com
  • Decisions Log entry added for this

Source: yogajaya.com server — u_gux_191886_yog@107.172.141.253, path /var/www/yogajaya.com/wp-content/uploads/press_doc/

What was found:

  • 142 unique PDFs spanning 2004–2017 (Vogue Japan, Brutus, Elle Japan, Grazia, Harper’s Bazaar, Metropolis, Japan Times, Yoga Journal Japan, Yogini, Yoga Aktuell DE, and many more)
  • 35 original cover + article spread images (PNGs/JPGs) from the yogajaya.com press page (2015/07/)
  • Also present but excluded: .LCK files (LiteSpeed server lock files — server artifacts, no content) and .swf files (Adobe Flash viewers — obsolete since 2020)
  • Checksum verification confirmed no exact duplicates across all 142 PDFs

Destinations:

  • NAS: /volume1/baseworks/archives/press/yogajaya/press_doc/ (142 PDFs)
  • NAS: /volume1/baseworks/archives/press/yogajaya/press-images/ (35 images)
  • B2: baseworks-media / press/yogajaya-archive/ (177 files total)

Notes:

  • macOS tar created AppleDouble ._*.pdf sidecar files on the NAS during transfer — these were identified and deleted; the clean count is 142 PDFs
  • B2 upload was clean (b2 sync does not go through Mac tar, no sidecars)
  • Original files on yogajaya.com server are untouched

Patrick has physical hard copies of additional press articles (not on the yogajaya.com server). These need to be scanned — either with a phone or a flatbed scanner at higher resolution. Once scanned, they should be added to the NAS archive at /volume1/baseworks/archives/press/yogajaya/press_doc/ and uploaded to B2 under press/yogajaya-archive/.

  1. D1–D10 decisions session — Patrick and Asia work through decisions-worksheet. These must be resolved before any press page copy gets written.
  2. Hard copy scanning — scan physical press articles and add to the archive.
  3. Implementation session — once D1–D10 are resolved, pass press-page-brief to a Claude Code session for press page rebuild.

Paste this into a new Claude Code session to resume:

Read the following three files before we begin:

  • ~/Obsidian/baseworks-kb-shared-brain/02-areas/communications/press-page/decisions-worksheet.md

Context: We are rebuilding the Baseworks press page at baseworks.com/communication/. The brief is the source of truth. Ten decisions (D1–D10) need to be resolved before copy is drafted. The full YogaJaya press archive (142 PDFs + 35 images) has been transferred to NAS at /volume1/baseworks/archives/press/yogajaya/ and to B2 under baseworks-media/press/yogajaya-archive/. Hard copy press articles still need scanning.

Once you’ve read the files, ask me what I’d like to work on.
