F 54 Seated Wide Inflection EN
From reclining transition, open the legs out about 70 degrees.
Ankles are extended, balls of the feet are pressing forward as you actively press the feet forward and down, lowering the legs to the ground.
Lift the right arm up and forward, initiating the movement from the shoulder again, scapula move away from the spine, left arm comes forward in the same fashion, already a little bit of an upper spine flexion happening there. the engagement across the abdominal wall as you start to lift forward flex the upper spine, allow for the hands to gently release down and cup onto the floor wherever is comfortable.
Continually engaging the legs here as you resist that movement of the upper spine flexion down with the balls of the feet pressing forward and the calves also pressing down towards the floor.
Again, you can continually engage those light micro movements through the spine here, allowing for a little bit more sensitivity to come in, what’s appropriate and what may not be appropriate through that.
Now from spinal flexion, we move to spinal extension here and as we start to lift the sternum upright, again, we’re gauging how far forward we can go.
We may have to come more upright to compensate, drawing the shoulders down, spine is lifted upright and straight, shoulders are resisting that movement of the spine lifting upward and the back of the crown of the head is moving up away from the shoulder movement downward.
Again, the legs are continually active here, balls of the feet are pressing forward.
To release as we flex the upper spine we tilt back and we allow for the legs to slowly lift up off the floor as we release the forearms down actively bringing the legs back together again into reclining transition.
