Bio (as printed):
“Patrick Oancia. Director of ‘YogaJaya.’ Has pursued not only Hatha yoga asanas but also the practice of the eight limbs of Raja Yoga, extending beyond physical practice.”
Quote (translated):
“In yoga practice, while many men focus on strength and flexibility, many women are more instinctual. Except when wishing to ‘become beautiful through yoga,’ they tend to be more selfless than men in general. At the same time, they have a thoughtful heart, and so can take asanas that are soft and beautiful — like dancing. For those who do not cling to ‘wanting to be beautiful,’ a beauty that radiates from within naturally appears. First: be fulfilled by your own existence and actions. Don’t apply the pressure of desire. That way, you’ll build a healthy relationship with yoga — a solid foundation that continues for life.”

“Nishioka Yuki-sensei’s Hatha Yoga class reminded me of doing yoga in India. First thoroughly relaxing the body, then proper pranayama, then moving into poses — each transition gradual and gentle. The teacher’s aura and yoga method transported me to Rishikesh, the holy site. Her extensive yoga background allowed Sivananda-style unhurried elements and Iyengar-style attention to alignment detail to be seamlessly integrated in the class. A deeply fulfilling yoga experience.”
