BRNet Recap — Instagram and Facebook Design Handoff

This document is a self-contained brief for Claude Design. It contains everything needed to design the Instagram post for the BRNet 2026 recap campaign: image selections with file paths, design direction, final captions, and hashtags. No access to the Baseworks knowledge base is required beyond this file and the images listed below.

Current task: the Instagram deliverable only. The Facebook captions at the end of this document are included for reference and will be produced as a separate (single-image, no carousel) deliverable later.


1. About Baseworks (context for design decisions)

Baseworks is a movement education method. The visual and verbal identity is understated, editorial, and precise: clean layouts, restrained typography, no sales aesthetics, no wellness-marketing visual language, no emojis. Photography does the work; graphics stay minimal. If text is overlaid on an image, it should be short, factual, and typographically quiet.

What happened: In June 2026, Baseworks took part in the 8th Body Representation Network Meeting (BRNet) at the University of Padova’s Palazzo del Bo in Padova, Italy. Asia Shcherbakova presented a poster (“Three Trainable Components of Body Representation: Evidence from a Decade of Naturalistic Perceptual Skills Training”) and joined the early-career researcher panel.

Goal of the post: intrigue the viewer enough to tap the link in bio and read the full recap on baseworks.com. The post is a pointer, not the recap itself.

Format: Instagram carousel, 4:5 portrait (1080 × 1350 px), maximum 5 slides. A single-image alternative is specified in section 5. Prefer fewer, stronger slides over filling all five.

Crop guidance:

  • Portrait files (112, 137, 144) are 9:16; they crop to 4:5 cleanly. For 112, keep both the frescoed ceiling and the audience. For 137, the balustrade diagonal is the subject; keep the upward sweep.
  • Landscape files (126, 133) lose width at 4:5. For 126, crop to keep Asia, her pointing arm, and the left half of the poster; the poster title may be sacrificed if needed (it is restated in the caption). Alternatively, place the full landscape frame on a quiet background field within the 4:5 canvas.
  • Slide 1 is the scroll-stopper. If it carries a text overlay, use one of the lines in section 4.

The carousel works with clean photography and no overlays. If a text hook on slide 1 improves stopping power, use one of these lines, verbatim:

  1. “Fewer than half of healthy adults report feeling anything in a muscle at rest.”
  2. “Ten years of movement data at a body representation conference.”
  3. “What a decade of movement data brought to a neuroscience meeting.”

No exclamation marks, no emojis, no decorative punctuation.


If the carousel is dropped in favor of a single image, use slide 1 (baseworks-brnet-2026-padova-126.jpg, Asia at the poster) and let the caption carry the post. Same crop guidance as above.


6. Instagram caption (final, for publishing)

Baseworks account, unified voice. Hashtags included in the post content. No emojis. Published as a collaborator post with BRNet (@bodyrepnetwork) — the caption appears on both profiles, so it credits and describes BRNet directly.


Ask a room of healthy adults what a muscle feels like at rest, when nothing is happening to it. In our survey, fewer than half reported feeling anything at all.

That finding was part of the poster Baseworks brought to the 8th Body Representation Network Meeting in Padova this June. Asia Shcherbakova presented a framework built from close to ten years of movement data, drawn from more than 10,000 learners: three trainable components of how the brain represents the body. Each has its own failure pattern and its own way of being trained. On the second day, she joined the panel for early-career researchers.

BRNet (@bodyrepnetwork), the Body Representation Network, connects researchers across neuroscience, clinical work, and psychology working on body representation: what it’s made of, how it’s measured, and what changes it. Its annual meeting brings that community into one room. Those are also the questions the Baseworks method is built on, approached through structured practice.

The meeting was held in the University of Padova’s Palazzo del Bo, the building that houses the world’s first permanent anatomical theatre.

7. Facebook captions (later phase — not part of the Instagram design task)

Facebook runs as single-image posts (suggested image: baseworks-brnet-2026-padova-126.jpg), link-preview card from the URL at the bottom. Patrick’s personal profile publishes first; the Baseworks page follows a few hours later. Clean URLs, no UTM parameters.

This June, Asia and I were in Padova, Italy for the 8th Body Representation Network Meeting. It brings together neuroscientists, clinicians, and psychologists who study how the brain builds and holds a sense of the body, and what happens when that sense distorts.

Asia presented a poster built from roughly a decade of Baseworks data, gathered across more than 10,000 learners. It lays out three trainable components of body representation: the ability to feel spatially specific sensation in muscle, the ability to hold and reproduce the body’s configuration without looking, and the ability to read breathing and load well enough to regulate effort. Each one fails in its own way, and each one is trained in its own way.

The part that drew the most questions was the failure data. In our survey, fewer than half of people who had never trained with us reported any awareness of muscular sensation at rest. Healthy adults, many with serious physical backgrounds, miss spatial tasks that look simple written down. And when Asia mapped the four body-awareness questionnaires that researchers rely on, two of the three components had no coverage at all.

Most work in this field studies what breaks down in clinical conditions. Ours looks at healthy people: what stays underdeveloped, and what changes when it’s trained.

On the second day Asia joined the panel for early-career researchers and described a position she called the “residential scientist”: someone embedded inside a practice long enough to know what actually needs measuring before designing the study. That’s close to how the Baseworks framework came together in the first place.

The meeting was held in the University of Padova’s Palazzo del Bo, in the hall where Galileo taught, near the world’s first permanent anatomical theatre. It was a fitting place to have this conversation.

Facebook — Baseworks company page (third person)

In June, Baseworks took part in the 8th Body Representation Network Meeting in Padova, Italy. Asia Shcherbakova presented a poster and joined the early-career researcher panel.

The poster, “Three Trainable Components of Body Representation,” draws on a decade of naturalistic movement data across more than 10,000 learners. It identifies three trainable capacities: proprioceptive awareness, spatial awareness, and interoceptive awareness. Each has a distinct failure pattern in learners and a distinct way of being trained.

The findings that drew the most discussion were the failure rates in healthy adults: fewer than half of survey respondents outside the practice reported feeling anything in a muscle at rest, spatial tasks that look simple went wrong, and the questionnaires researchers currently use cover only one of the three components.

Most body representation research studies distortion in clinical conditions. The Baseworks data addresses the complementary question: what stays underdeveloped in healthy people, and what structured practice changes.
