I watched the videos sporadically this week and haven’t practiced the forms so unfortunately I’m not well positioned to provide feedback. I was hoping to review most of it today but I’m not feeling great and may not get to the forms before tomorrow’s class. I did find the midline video interesting - the idea of maintaining the midline while doing asymmetrical movements as a way to develop spatial awareness isn’t something I’ve thought about before. Some of the concepts about safety, effort etc. seem like common sense notions but that I often don’t apply in daily movements and that aren’t promoted in a lot of exercise programs.

I have been thinking more about “activating” my hands, feet etc in daily movements. I normally focus a lot on trying to position my pelvis and ribcage “properly” and am now adding to that with the Baseworks activation cues.
