Movement habits
Section titled “Movement habits”Throughout the entire exercise, and regardless of the micro-adjustments in activation that I tried to make—bending my knees a little more or a little less, creating a slight inward tension or a slight outward tension, subtly shifting my center of gravity—nothing seemed to change significativly : my quadriceps kept trembling. I’m not sure whether this is related to my pelvic fracture (now about a year and a half old) on the left side, but the trembling was slightly more pronounced in my right quadriceps.
As for the arms, everything felt fine, and I experienced exactly what Patrick describes in the video. In the final position, however, I noticed that my shoulders were held a bit differently. Even though I tried to let them completely relax, it felt as though I had no choice but to consciously bring them down, applying a slight downward effort in order to realign them.
